PRODUCING OIL
The description below is on cotton seeds, the main raw materials of FLUDOR BENIN SA plant.

SHARING
The cotton seeds are first cleaned in two parts, peeled and finally sifted through the hype for almond hulls separation. The hulls are used as fuel in the boiler to produce superheated steam. The surplus is bagged or put into ashes for sale.

PREPARATION
The almonds were sent into the cooker. Almonds cooked in fridges go to reduce the thickness to make more oil available. The kernels are then sent to the extruder where they undergo a cooling process before being conveyed to the unit extraction solvent.
EXTRACTION
The cooled extrudates pass through the extraction solvent unit to give the miscella (oil and hexane mixture). At this stage, we get a by-product (extracted meal) that are sent to desolvantor-dryer. The cakes or extracted meal are then ferried in small containers where they will be bagged as flour or pellet meal, after processing.. The Miscella, undergoes several stages:
- Separation by heating at high temperature,
- Neutralization
- Centrifugation
- Distillation.
Neutral oil is produced at this stage, which is unfit for consumption. Its then undergoes a final transformation.
REFINING
This is the last stage of production of cooking oil using cotton seed. The Neutral oil is processed in several steps:
- Lundering
- Discoloration to give it its golden color
- A first filtration
- Desertion
- Deodorization
- Cooling operation
- A final filtration

After the Neutral oil has undergone the above processes, the Refined oil is produced, which is then sent into the storage tanks, from where they are packaged in containers or loaded as bulk oil in tankers for distribution to customers and companies .
Throughout these steps, the product is constantly being monitored by the Laboratory Management System Quality unit, which maintains the standard of the produced cooking oil. FLUDOR BENIN SA has meets ISO 9001/2008.
